CoreMelt support for macOS Big Sur
All versions after (512.17) released 26 November 2020 support Big Sur and the FCP X 10.5 and later. We recommend you update to FCP 10.4.10 or 10.5 before you update macOS. This version also works with Catalina and FCP X 10.5
Earlier versions may hang when adding plugins to the timeline, you must update to this version to use Big Sur and FCP X 10.5
As always, we highly recommend you do not update macOS or FCP in the middle of a job. We are a small company and while we can’t test every hardware combination, we do our best to test internally and leverage our community of beta testers to catch any issues.

You do not need to uninstall first, just run the installers again. If you do find any issues please let us know.
Specifically you will need to have versions (512.17) released 26 November 2020 of our Everything Bundle, or individual products, and version (165) of Lock and Load. Earlier versions will not work with Big Sur installed.
Support for Apple Silicon Systems
At the current time (17th November 2020) CoreMelt plugins will not load and are not usable on Apple Silicon Macs running FCP X. We have been working on making them compatible with Apple Silicon for some time, however there are tasks outside our control which need to happen before we can finish this work.
It is our intention to bring all existing CoreMelt plugins to Apple Silicon Macs, as well as some new products on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs in the near future.
Please join our mailing list or follow us on facebook if you want to be notified when support for Apple Silicon systems is available.
