Status of CoreMelt products on macOS Sonoma We have tested all Coremelt products under macOS Sonoma and are not aware of issues. Of course we may have missed things so you may want to be cautious in updating, especially if considering to update in the middle of a project. Please do make sure you have our latest versions from CoreMelt Manager before updating. You may wish to wait until Apple releases a new FInal Cut Pro version before updating. We have no information about future updates but its has been common for Apple to release Final Cut Pro updates soon after...
Final Cut Pro 10.6.6 important note before you update
Final Cut Pro plugins use an API called FxPlug which has been updated in several major versions, the latest version is FxPlug 4. Final Cut Pro 10.6.6 removes the ability to run FxPlug3 plugins on Intel macs or using Rosetta2. Although the current products we sell are all available in FxPlug4 versions this may impact your ability to load old projects. Projects using Chromatic or the V2 Plugin set cannot be loaded with FCP 10.6.6 or later on Intel or Apple Silicon macs by any means. Chromatic and the V2 Plugin set are being discontinued - what does that mean? We have now finalised updating our plugins for Apple Silicon. In our case it wasn't a simple port as some of our plugins had to be substantially rebuilt due to changes in the plugin API beyond our control. Everything is now Apple Silicon native except Chromatic and the V2 plugin set. These two products are being discontinued and will not be available as Apple Silicon native. DriveX 4 is now updated to be Apple Silicon native and also comes with new templates using 3D objects This update is native on both Apple Silicon and Intel macs including M1 and M2 processors and future Apple Silicon systems.
